Introduction: Planning Your Tiny Wedding

My first blog post! And to be honest, I might be losing it.

Planning a small wedding is MUCH harder than I expected. To be fair to myself, we are in the middle of a global pandemic. So the hard things about wedding planning are inherently more difficult. There is so much uncertainty, and this planning process has been nothing like I expected. Lets review my list of things to do:

  1. Choose a ceremony location

  2. Find an officiant

  3. Choose a reception location

  4. Decide what the heck the reception is going to look like - Dinner? Party? Brunch?

  5. Take engagement photos

  6. Send out invites - Evite? Mail?

  7. Set up live stream - Microsoft Teams? Zoom? Facebook Live?

  8. Create registry

  9. Buy a dress

  10. Alter the dress

  11. Order bridesmaid/flower girl/ring bearer attire

  12. Find photographer/videographer

  13. Florist/Decor

  14. Book beauty team (hair, nails, makeup, etc.)

  15. DJ/Playlist for reception?

  16. Book transportation?

  17. etc.

  18. etc.

  19. etc.

  20. etc. etc. etc

I think you get the point.

But I’ve already learned so much, and there’s so much more for me to learn. I’m so excited to share! I’m motivated to make my tiny wedding the most beautiful and perfect wedding. And if you’re still reading this, we’re probably on the same page.

It’ll get done…time to get to work!
